Of all the horrendous schemes perpetrated by CLOWN QUEEN Genetics Collective this latest scam is by far the worst.
As some of you may have noticed CLOWN QUEEN has been spouting this line recently online:

To our loyal United States patients:
Clone Queen is Federally approved to operate NATIONWIDE. We are 100% Legally allowed to offer Cannabis Plants to 420 Friends of all 50 states.

This is in fact a BALD FACED LIE. I personally emailed NORML this morning to inquire about this supposed sudden and drastic new change in federal law regarding the distribution of medical marijuana (including clones and teens)  in states that have not been decriminalized. While waiting for an answer I did a search online and found NO INFORMATION WHATSOEVER SUPPORTING THESE CLAIMS. If anything, in the recent months the feds have been coming down harder than ever on collectives and patients.

See for yourself how in recent months even states that allow collectives to operate are having the feds step in and shut them down. But Clone Queen wants us to believe that the federal government allows them to distribute marijuana plants to all 50 states?? If the feds are coming down on collectives who are only encouraging patient to buy medical marijuana wouldn't they be even harder on collectives encouraging patients to grow plants on a large scale?

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/01/us/hundreds-of-california-medical-marijuana-shops-close.html?pagewanted=all

http://www.denverpost.com/news/marijuana/ci_21340833/colorado-court-ruling-says-medical-marijuana-trumped-by

http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2012/08/10/671121/arizonas-attorney-general-targets-medical-marijuana-dispensaries-protected-by-state-law/

Marijuana is STILL a class 1 drug

http://safeaccessnow.org/article.php?id=2638

From www.whitehouse.gov

"Regardless of state laws to the contrary, there is no such thing as “medical” marijuana under Federal law.  Marijuana continues to be a Schedule I substance meaning that it has no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse."

http://www.whitehouse.gov/ondcp/federal-laws-pertaining-to-marijuana

Now perhaps this is what Clone Queen is basing their statements on:

http://blogs.findlaw.com/blotter/2009/10/medical-marijuana-laws-new-federal-guidelines.html

But these changes ONLY apply to states that have legalized marijuana  - NOT all 50 states. Only 14 states have approved the legalization of  marijuana. Any patient not following state law is still liable to be prosecuted.

"The Justice Department will continue to prosecute people whose claims of compliance with state and local law conceal operations that are "inconsistent" with the terms, conditions or purposes of those laws", according to Holder and Deputy Atty. Gen. David Ogden.

Why would a collective which claims to have it's patients best interests in mind make such an outrageous and erroneous statement? Do they really know so little about basic marijuana law in this country? Or do they just not care? Are they just willing to say and do WHATEVER IS NECESSARY to lure patients in to giving them hundreds and thousands of dollars?

I am disgusted with their latest attempt at scamming patients. CLONE QUEEN GENETICS COLLECTIVE is a DISGRACE and should be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY.

I am waiting on a response from NORML. When I receive one I will post it. If in fact NORML tells me that Clone Queen's statements are true, I will retract what I have posted in this entry. Until then, I am going off what I have found online.

Patient Review found on Clone Queen's Weedmaps listing for Lake Elisinore
Posted by mister420green on September 12th 2012

I've ordered from Clone Queen before and my whole room was completely different. I specifically was looking for planetary strains and ordered 80 total mix of Jupiter, Mars, Venus and sour diesel. Not even one of the strains turned out to be what they said. I do this for a living so I'm just warning other growers who depend on verified strains. Stay clear away from here and stick with friends genetics. They will be way better than what I paid for with these guys. The staff was cool but the genetics are absolutely horrible and unverified. Don't believe me? Wait until your run comes out. Don't say you weren't warned.

I received the following email yesterday from a dispensary who wishes to remain anonymous.

Found your blog from a Budbay post and felt compelled to share my experience with Clone Queen.

I ordered a dozen clones delivered April 9th 2012 from Clone Queen which were supposed to be 6 Green Crack and 6 LA Cons for an outdoor grow. It didn't take long to determine that the LA Cons weren't all LA Cons as there was too great of variance in the growth patterns, e.g. leaf formation, size, color, etc. So those were all scrapped. The 6 Green Crack all showed homogenous growth patterns, so I was hopeful that they were in fact Green Crack. As an outdoor grower, you need to be sure that what you are growing is suitable for the outdoors, e.g. vigor, disease and pest resistant, able to withstand the elements, etc. I ended up using 4 of the Green Crack in 18 of the spots that I had available for my outdoor grow. As all the outdoor plants are in flower and finishing up the season, I can now say that none of the Green Crack were in fact Green Crack. The 4 plants I kept from Clone Queen won't be able to finish the season. So out of my 18 outdoor spots, 4 or 22% of my outdoor capacity will be greatly diminished. 7 months of wasted labor, expenses that will now be passed on to my nearly 2 dozen collective members. If it was an indoor grow it wouldn't have been so hard to accept, as the time and expense commitment wouldn't have been so great on our end.

The travesty that the Clone Queen perpetrated, and apparently continues to perpetrate, is absurd. I would strongly advise that whoever this asshole Brendon is, he stop doing what he is doing. I appreciate what you are doing.

Brendon, thank you so much for helping my blog to receive even more attention thanks to your angry rant on Bud Trader! I'm surprised you still think anyone takes what you post on there seriously, because they don't. And all the things you say make you look like a PSYCHOPATH.
See I never got personal. I stuck to the facts because for me this isn't a personal battle. If I wanted to I could post a lot of dirt on you, you know I could. I could call you out on all the crazy things you did while I knew you. But see, I don't think your personal life is the world's business. Your business however, is. Also I could post your parent's address online like you are threatening to do to my parents (you still have all their camping stuff btw). Or threaten to post your number on Craigslist personals (and you say I need a life??).
All you are doing is showing how mentally unstable and immature you are by merely bashing others with idiotic claims and lies. You only help me look more rational and truthful by comparison.

Also got a friend request from a fake profile with my name and picture with my phone number on it saying to call for sex. Very mature.
Again, this bashing only serves to make YOU look bad. You are really making this much too easy.

So thank you for helping me prove my point - Clone Queen can not be trusted!
From the beginning I knew that I would be hearing from Brendon after I started this blog. I expected it. Today I woke up to a few missed calls and a voicemail. Bingo.

"You know who this is. You need to leave me alone. Leave me out of this. My girlfriend already knows about everything. This is fucking stupid. You're trying to ruin my life. Go on, live yours. You're not doing any patients any fucking favors. So just stop acting like a dumb ass, whiny, lonely person. Go get your own shit going on. Don't fucking leech my business and try to make a fucking name for yourself off of me. You think you have something to say to the world? That's because you have nothing original at all. Nothing. Your whole life fell apart. You have no friends. You had to resort back to douche bag, fraudulent Ryan who lies to you about everything. And you know what I just don't want to be a part of it. Leave me alone. I swear Rachael if you don't leave me alone I will go to the police. I will blast your fucking ugly ass shit online. I will tell the world about you. The way you smell. The way you look.  I was scared of you ok and that's why I talked to you after. Other than that I have nothing to say to you. I was terrified of you doing just this. Go and blast me. I don't want any part with you. Leave me alone. I don't need anyone trying to rob me because they heard I have money. Think about someone else in your fucking selfish existence you dumb ass!"

Alright well I have a few things to address.

1. I don't care about your girlfriend and what she knows. This has nothing to do with your love life and it has everything to do with the patients.
2. I am not trying to ruin your life. Honestly I don't care if you go on to own the most successful collective in California. I just want people to know the truth.
3. Actually, I am doing patients a lot of favors - I have even heard this FROM the patients who take the time to email me their thanks. YOU are the one who isn't doing patients any favors.
4. I am not trying to make a name for myself. Do you really think I want to be associated with Clone Queen? That does nothing to make me look good. It makes me look like a deceptive, selfish person same as anyone else associated with Clone Queen.
5. Not to brag or anything but I did spend two months this year traveling through Japan and Hawaii with my best friend. I would hardly say my life is falling apart or that I have no friends.
6. I haven't talked to Ryan in months. Over a year actually. I think you need to find more accurate sources...
7. Go to the police Brendon. Go ahead. I'm sure they would LOVE to hear more from the owner of a fraudulent collective. But yeah, it totally makes sense that they would be more interested in someone posting a blog...
8. If your saying that you only talked to me after we broke up because you were scared of what I would do to you...well all I can say to that is - cool. You got me. I thought you cared about me. I thought we were friends. I thought you needed my help. But hey you fooled me. Congratulations.

*** 9. You have a lot of nerve telling me that I am being selfish when YOU continue to lie to patients every day in order to take money from them. Are you really so delusional or just completely corrupt? Or both?

When I receive emails like this it helps me to know I am doing the right thing. Thank you Steven and Tom!

I just happened to stumble across your blog though Budtrader.com and was blown away!!! I've been fortunate enough to have dealt with legit clone sources, but I know there are plenty of bad ones out there looking to make a quick buck. Never would I have guessed that something set up as legit as that operation, would be a total front though!
Thanks for opening mine as well as many others minds to just how evil some people are and the lengths that they are willing to take. Well, I just thought I would send some positive feedback your way! Great things are sure to head your way, keep your head up and stay positive...

Peace,
Stephen

Thank you for  the gutsy, courageous, and heartfelt blog. You did the right thing with this blog. You could be possibly saving hundreds more patients from failed harvests. What a horrible way to make a few bucks! So, thanks again! To me you are a hero (they should name an og after you: Rachael OG!).

Former Clone Queen patient (review found on Clone Queen's San Diego listing on Weedmaps).
Posted by stickeytrichome June 13 2012

Attention patients: this is a true review by a professional grower. I have been growing in coco coir and using different hydroponic systems and have been successful with every grow for about 10 years now...because of genetics. I recently tried to acquire some new strains from clone queen genetics because I started to get tired of growing the same strains. The first delivery I had sent to me arrived on time and half of the clones looked great and the other half looked weak and over nuted. If a beginner grower got a hold of these they would have died on them. It took me two weeks to get them out of shock and starting to thrive. I ordered 25 hindu kush, 6 super lemon and 6 bubba kush. as i was in week 3 -4 in vegetation i could noticeably tell that i did not receive what I requested from clone queen. I had all different strains. this being a huge problem because now i was stuck with unknown strains with unknown flowering times. As i got into flower I had noticed that strains i previously grew were thriving and starting to shoot out nice thick white calyxes and I had noticed that all the super lemons I had ordered were shooting out pink hairs which browned in weak 2 because they were hermaphrodites. I immediately pulled them out of my room in order to salvage the rest of my crop. So lost all the lemons. Next the bubbas were all different. I noticed in veg but during flower it was really noticeable. some were tall and lanky and others were short and resembled bubba. one was a hermphrodite ( most likely because of the lemons though) As for the hindus....just terrible. I dont even know if i got a hindu. my friends that ordered as well said they look like their blueberries. so they are all scrambled. i even got some crazy OG in the mix. it is either chem dawg or og. its a tall lanky sativa that has little bud kernels and nice and frosty though. really thats the best one i had got. earthy and sweet. but produced only and ounce with a long 6 week vege. (very low yield) I only had 13 out of 37 survive. and only 1 blueberry and 1 chemdawg or og of some type was dank. the rest were examples of poor genetics. Clone queen cost me about $10,000 in wasted nutrients, energy and time. you guys owe me huge .

So after several days of waiting for verification, I finally get a notice via text "I'm good to go." I txt the person my order and set up delivery schedule. The person txt back: confirmation, location for pick up, and price. I let them know ahead of time I was driving up from San Diego, and didn't want to waste anyone's time. To please have my order ready. I was once again assured it was a go, driver to call me 30 mins before arrival. I reach the location right on schedule as planned... no word from driver, and no reply from Clone Queen. I proceed to wait, in case of a schedule mix-up, traffic, flat tire, curiosity, etc.... nearly 3 hrs I waited in 95 degree heat for a phone call or a driver that NEVER showed. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed. I'm a chronic arthritis sufferer, and the drive up there was painful enough on my body. All in all this was a HUGE waste of my time, energy, and resources. I would NEVER refer any patients to CLONE QUEEN. They obviously don't have the compassion these places require.

This was a big issue even when I was still working for CQ. I can't count the times that because of a miscommunication between the drivers and "dispatchers" a patient was over looked or made to wait or even asked to meet at a new location last minute. Many patients would drive upward of 60 miles to meet a driver believing they were going to receive top of the line genetics between "4-"6 only to find their 2" clones to be wilted, with barely any roots showing.
I'm surprised we didn't get out asses kicked.

This is a hard review for me. I tend not to review unless something is either stellar or terrible. My experience with clone queen is a mixed bag. On one hand I think the prices are fantastic, the staff is very friendly and helpful & the quantity of cuts available at last minute is great. On the other hand the reliability is iffy, the staff communication seems non-existant and the clone quality is all over the place from strong and healthy to DOA.

So to elaborate:
I have placed two orders with CQ and had a couple warranty replacements. My first order was delivered on time with no problems. (It should be noted though that the cuts were very varied in size and root development. Some were healthy with thick stems and others puny little things) The staff was very friendly and helpful with care instructions and trouble shooting issues I will touch on later. Some staff was so fantastic that I hate to write anything negative but at the end of the day its the "cut" that matters most. So I got my first order and after a week I could see about 6 were gonners. I went through their warranty process and they were happy to replace my duds. My problem starts here. I dont think the people taking orders communicate anything to the people taking the cuts or sending them out. For my replacements I requested the biggest, strongest and most well rooted cuts so they have a chance to keep up with my first batch that would be 2 weeks ahead . I'm not about to mix up separate nute batches. I was assured I'd get the best of the best. What they brought looked worse than my duds. I took them anyway but kept my duds just in case. Another issue I ran into was a bad mite infestation. It's hard to place a blame on that since mites can be picked up anywhere but it was my first order with them and the first time I ever had mites. My biggest problem with my order over all though was stunting. My total disappointment didn't happen until it finished up well under expectations. The final plants were so uneven in there growth that I can hardly believe they are all the same. Some grew into monsters but many never grew past a foot or branched out at all. (insert me bragging about how experienced I am and know what I'm doing - HERE) The quality of what I did get out of it was acceptable  As you might expect the bigger and healthier the plant the better the quality.

Overall I wasn't happy with my end result. I wasn't planning to use CQ again right away but the only other descent clone spot in SoCal recently mowed down all their moms and can't produce anything in sufficient quantity in a descent amount of time. SO - I tried CQ again. My scheduling didn't go so well this time. Two no shows and an almost impossible time trying to get ahold of anybody on the phone. My third try almost didn't happen. I schedule for and evening time and they texted at 11pm the night before saying it'll be early afternoon. I tried all day to work out the time but it was only because the driver was cool enough to come back later (going way out of his way and adding hours to his drive) that it worked out. I learned from the last order and asked if I could order more that I need so I could sort out the real crappy cuts. I was told they didn't really do that but I didn't have to take any cuts I wasn't happy with. Man I should have ordered a hundred more than I needed. Out of 4 dozen there was only 4-6 that actually looked good. If I had not been in such a desperate situation I would have just turned them all down. Hardly any roots had popped at all. Many were wilted or crispy and some were DOA. I asked the driver about the roots and he said "if the stems don't come out when pulled on they consider it good to go". ?????? I sorted through them and took the best, as far as I could tell anyway. Later when I took them out of the bag a hand full had just keeled over and wilted. I don't even want to bother with the warranty at this point. I set these up and crossed my fingers. I'll update my outcome of this batch later if I can.

So my review is a bit mixed. They do some things well but other things not so much. I really want to be able to rave about these guys but so far I haven't had a solid experience. So I would say if you absolutely need to order from them take some precautions. Don't expect grade A cuts or an easy time ordering but don't be surprised if they go a great job either.

(***UPDATE***) So I have sad news to report. After much toil and effort I have decided to scrap this batch of cuts from clone queen. I have tried unsuccessfully calling them for days to use my warranty to replace my cuts as I am still within my 30 days. I have left messages and texts and have not heard back in over a week. The batch has not developed properly. They are week and thin. Many need to supported. The Side branching is non-existant and they just plain look like shit. In comparison I took 8 cuts off a mom of the same strain (different genetics) the day I got this batch to make up the difference. So they are at least 7-10 days behind my CQ cuts. They are now 25% larger and very healthy. Good branching and dont need to propped up. It was this side by side comparison which led to my decision to scrap the CQ cuts. They are just substandard. In hind I am glad they aren't responding to my warranty request because I don't want to waste anymore time, energy or money on their junk cuts. It is a hard lesson learned but I will never again get cuts when I'm in such a desperate frame of mind. It only make it worse.

This review was not written by a patient but by a former employee. Altho this review was written out of spite, the main points are true. This employee was trusted by both Brendon and myself and was aware of all our "tricks" as he was one of our original employees back in early 2011.
The employee was terminated due to alleged unethical business practices. The employee claims to have had his pay with held for weeks prior to his termination and deny's all of CQ's claims. At this time I still do not know the full story as I do not feel either party was honest with me. Which is really sad since the parties were my boyfriend (at the time) and my best friend (again at the time).

I have removed the parts of the review I feel to be untrue or unnecessary - you can find the full review on Ripoff Report's website.

Clone Queen Genetics aka CQ Genetics is owned and operated by Brendon Kennedy whom goes by the aliases “Jesse” and/or “Evan” along with a slew of other names he hides under to mask his nefarious business dealings.

List of lies and false advertising below:
1.) Company claims to offer VERIFIED genetics on all clones. This is completely false.  Several employees have testified to this being false and a marketing ploy. Brendon Kennedy aka Evan aka Jesse himself has stated in confidence that this would take thousands and thousands of dollars to do and is impossible at this moment in time so they just SAY that is what they do in order to persuade potential patients/customers to order from them.
2.) $3 clones? The so called $3 clone specials are a means of hooking potential patients in need. There are rarely if EVER any $3 clones. Brendon aka Jesse aka Evan himself tells ALL his phone operators/telemarketers to NEVER give out any $3 clones. If you ever receive a clone for $3 it is because the telephone operator felt guilty about having to lie about what the $3 clone specials actually are. This is a SHAM. DIRTY DIRTY business.
3.) Clone Quality and strain info. You can find reports all over online with patients and customers ENRAGED over the products they received from Clone Queen Genetics aka CQDNA aka Brendon Kennedy aka Evan aka Jesse. Doing a simple search and brief research will unveil the hundreds of horrible testimonials. The testimonies that are positive are usually Brendon himself going all over the place posting FAKE reviews from FAKE accounts with FAKE IP addresses. Often times they lie about the particular strains they carry and 100% of the time they send out UNVERIFIED strains. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHAM!

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

The tough thing about buying clones is you don't really know the quality of what you are getting until your further along the way into your grow. I liked the variety, but the quality seems questionable. I am not accustomed to losing plants. About 25% of the cuts I bought died rather quickly and another 10% are growing but incredibly scrawny. So only about 65% of these are worth anything. The end result will be seen in the finished buds. Though I doubt I will be back here. The cuts just don't stand up to what I've purchased from others. This would be the growers equivalent of eating at McDonalds - it's fast but the quality isn't there. I'll be back to write a more positive review if these flower into something better than expected. At this stage I'm not feeling too optimistic. Shop carefully and look at the total of the reviews. If there is more than a few bad reviews on there, maybe there is something to take note of then. Good luck with your grow.

UPDATE ON FLOWERING:

Duds, Duds and more Duds!!! What a disaster!! As described below many of the clones purchased from Clone Queen died off early or didn't make it past scrawny in veg phase. Now in flower I can clearly see these are crappy genetics. Everything has grown with inconsistent quality. Nothing is looking frosty and nothing too exciting. This is after using high quality nutrients. Many of these clones were mislabeled too. It's very hard to properly nourish your plants when then are mislabeled and the wrong strain. Since posting my review Clone Queen has made false counter claims that I am everything from a troubled ex-employee to an angry amateur gardener. Neither is true. I've done a comparative grow and these clones suck. Don't waste your grow medium, time, nutrients and energy. CQ needs to slow down and start over. Rushing crap out the door is not treating people right.

User name: iehydro posted on Feburary 4th 2012

So I ordered a bunch of clones from this place back towards the end of November. When the plants are in the vegative state, its extremely hard to tell different strains apart. Impossible really. So now that I have them in about the 5th week of flowering, I can see whats what. The Mars OG, they mixed up. My flood table containing the Mars OG's are completely uneven, due to there being 2 different strains. One had a much longer stretch then the other, completely different bud structures, different smells... So they mixed up the Mars OG. Im now wondering what this other strain is that I have here.

I also ordered a bunch of Jupiter OG's. This table is completely mixed up. There's probably a good 3-4 different strains on this table. Some with huge broad indica leaves, and others with the smaller OG leaf sets. The table is completely uneven because of the different stretches of the different strains. So I don't even know whats going on, on that table. They're completely mixed up.

Then I ordered the XXX Headband OG. This is the only one that they didnt mix up. The table is solid with identical plants throughout. The description they listed above on this one does not match the strain at all. This is a pure Sativa dominant plant, that reminds me of a Sativa Landrace. The plant grows HUGE!! Not a very good plant for indoor growing. This plant will take over your garden and has a ridiculous stretch once in flowering. The plant went from 1 foot tall entering flowering and is now very easily 4-5 feet tall. The buds are long massive colas, that will definitely need to be supported, so the yield on this strain is going to be great. The description above explains a hashy smell. This XXX Headband OG has nothing even close to a hashy smell. Its a Sativa dominant plant with a very strong citrusy smell to it, thats usually common in Sativas. So the description above is completely wrong. Not egg size nugs... they're long massive colas. No hashy smell or taste... totally citrusy. No dense buds, I wouldnt call them wispy, but definitely not dense like most OG's, and the plant is by no means "manageable". Its a beast that should be grown only outdoors.

Since the descriptions are way off, I'll just assume that I'm growing something other then what I paid for.

Oh... and the Super Lemon Haze clone I got, is completely Indica dominant, with fat broad leaves... nothing like the Super Lemon Haze from GreenHouse. So I may just throw this one in the trash so I don't waste my time growing something that's not even SLH.

So far, no good.

Mito: Former Clone Queen patient (found on Clone Queen's Rancho Cucmonga listing). Posted by user Mitochondrion on Weedmaps August 9th 2011

Just tried this Clone Queen place out. I started the process last Monday. I just got the cuts last night. A couple of things. If you look at their Chem Dog and Green Crack the genetic make up is slightly different than what we know those names to represent.
Through out the week (before I ordered) I spoke with three different people. At no time was I able to reach 1 person who could help me through the process. I was told multiple times that I would get a call back. In the end I had to apply pressure and throw a negative review in order to get attention.
Finally on Friday I spoke with a dude named "Jesse" who expedited the process drastically once I told him that I had been trying to order since the previous Monday. I was asked to email a picture of My ID and my rec. I received an email back saying i was verified and could place an order. I sent an email claiming that I wanted:
6 Larry OG
6 XXX Headband OG
3 Diablo Og
3 Alien OG
3 Mars OG
3 Green Crack (Mars OG x Martian Mean green?)
1 Jupiter Kush - for free
I was told they would not be able to deliver them (20 dollar delivery fee) until Sunday night. I was quoted 305.00.
When the gentleman showed up (Mark) I was asked to fill out the collective paperwrk which was quick. He then went to go get the cuttings and came back with a girl and the cuts. He proceeded to tall me that I would not see clones of this class anywhere else. He was partially right. The first thing I noticed was the mite bite marks. In turning over the said leaves I noticed the mites. I pointed this out to him. He was unable to deny and took pictures. The second thing I noticed was that the 3 Alien OG's were technically not even clones . There was a single root hair protruding aproximately .5 centimeter out of the side of the rockwool cube near the top. The cuttings were also on the brink of wilt. Timing being what it is (lost a week trying to place order) I accepted the order anyway as well as the the fact that I would have to quarantine them and hit them good with some root stimulator. I still had their 30 day guarantee to work with.
The gentleman recieved the donation and left with his girl. I started taking a closer look and noticed that there were only 21 cuts instead of 25. It seemed the Green crack cuttings and the free Jupiter Kush were not amongst the order. I promptly called the guy and he came back. He said he was authorized to refund me 140.00 for my troubles. He then left once more.
In the end my consensus is that I should have taken my own damn cuttings a week ago. I would be further along and with healthier cuttings.

Peace Mito-

Naija: Former Clone Queen patient.

Hello Rachael,

Thank you for your blog and posting the link in the several places I've seen so far. I appreciate your honesty and need to set the record straight.
I am one of those patients CQ Genetics ripped off. I'm not sure if you still worked there when I ordered from them but all the practices you detailed were all in place when I did. I am a regular guy with 9 to 5 job and a wife and kid to feed. We are a single family income and struggle just to keep food on the table. My wife has a severe thyroid condition that makes her unable to work. My wife is actually the real "patient" but because of a pending immigration status she is scared to get a Recommendation so I got one for her. After spending more money then we had to keep her from wasting away to nothing but skin and bones I had the idea to take out a loan and set up our own little "medicine" maker.
I ordered from CQ 3 times before I caught on to the cause of my misfortune and completely garbage medicine. My unfortunate decision to order from CQ set me back over a year, has cost me thousands of dollars that I now have to pay back and has put us in a dire financial situation........and I still have a family to feed and sick wife to care for.

In no way can I condone what you did or was a part but I respect that you seem to want to make amends and at least set the record straight. I was mad as hell when the curtain was finally pulled back. I posted reviews every where only to see those 3 to 4 glowing reviews go up immediately after. At first I wanted vengeance but now I've calmed down and all I really want to to stop Brendon for continuing to rip people off.

Owner of Cannanetics Dispensary.

There's so much to say about Clone Queen genetics, we've heard EVERYTHING from patients coming from CQ. Our main issue had always been the lies about the genetics that were so obvious and ridiculous while we spend THOUSANDS buying elite genetics across the state and some even from outside Cali. Usually most places like this don't survive because once one or two harvests have passed with patients the bad press is so horrible that they tend to disappear  I am amazed at the fact that Clone Queen can continue with the stories I've heard and the staggering number of complaints online.

We received a phone call about a year and a half ago by someone from CQ wanting us to produce for them. It was confusing because I didn't understand if they knew who they were contacting. We have no reason to inflate ourselves; we are a small boutique clone collective... well maybe not anymore but we were. We have still yet to this day have a single bad review in existence because of the extremes we go through to make patients happy. We also have been around years before anyone else and have been very successful so we found it odd to get this call. None the less I told "Jason" (I believe) that we would talk about it and get back to him.

A few months later I started to get mail in response to our ads from CQGENETICS.COM with major threats... anything from I hope you die to I'm calling the feds on you and hey by the way I'm the biggest, best cloner in the world so fuck you and die etc...

I cant even imagine how hes not in prison or worse.

Thank you for doing this. There was a whole year there were people called me almost crying. I hope your bravery will keep some of those people from buying his clones. If there's anything we can do to help you let us know, thankfully we are no longer competitors so I am messaging you just on behalf of my personal feelings and those of my patients that were burned by Clone Queen..

The truth about Clone Queen Genetics

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I am writing this not out of anger, bitterness or a need for revenge. I am writing this in an attempt to tip the scales and bring some light onto the history of Clone Queen Genetics (thcplant.com) based on my experiences within the company and my own personal experience with the owner/founder Brendon Kennedy whom I dated and lived with for a few months.
I am aware that the method of operation for Brendon when receiving honest criticism is to turn and slander the person who has chosen to step forward. I have seen it happen with my friends, with his friends. At this point I don't really care. Anyone reading this should know that I am not angry or bitter and I take responsibility for the part I played. Brendon, you can say what you want about me, be it true or fabricated. I can't sit by any longer while you lie your way through life - hurting everyone in the process.

I was involved with Clone Queen Genetics from practically the beginning. I moved in with Brendon in Nov. of 2010 (Clone Queen did NOT exist before 2010) and at that time he generated a small income from selling clones to local dispensaries in the San Bernardino County area. Brendon wanted to figure out a way to make a better business from selling clones, but with out having to go through dispensaries to do so. After a lot of thought and planning he decided to expand his own garden and deal exclusively with patients. I do not claim any credit for Clone Queen Genetics. The idea is and was solely Brendon's. And believe me he put a lot of thought in to it. But yes, I was there, I had a part in it. I heard all his ideas. I lived with him and I think I know more about the company's beginnings than anyone, besides Brendon. We talked about all his plans. And I threw in a few of my own. I wanted Clone Queen to succeed. I didn't want to have to worry about money. So for a time I ignored my conscience and did what I was told. But I have no reason to remain silent any more. People have a right to know what they are getting in to. I know first hand how much time, money and effort goes in to a garden and when you invest so much you have a RIGHT to the TRUTH.

Clone Queen Genetics has only been successful because everything about it is a lie. Brendon wanted a hook - something that would set his dispensary apart from all the others. So he settles on something no one else offered - VERIFIED GENETICS. Claiming that all his clones were verified gave Brendon the ability to charge excessive prices and claim it was because patients were paying for the guarantee of 100% certainty with their cuts. You can go on any Clone Queen listing and you will see VERIFIED GENETICS advertised. It was what originally drew such much business and attention. Sadly, there are NO verified genetics, let alone an independent lab in Europe. The clones sold under the name "Clone Queen" originally came from Brendon's garden and he eventually out sourced to other vendors to meet the higher demand. Not only were the clones from his garden not verified, he was using clones from anyone - anyone who could supply the number of clones he needed. He needed a lot of clones. I cannot speak for Clone Queen now as I am not affiliated with it in any way and have not been for some time but at the time I knew Brendon the strains he sold under the guise of being verified were rarely what he told patients they were. We advertised having 20+ strains when in reality we had about 6-10 depending on what strains we cut. If a patient wanted a strain we didn't have we simply took whatever we had and labeled it accordingly. We did that for months. We lied to every patient we sold clones to. Even if a patient ordered a strain we had, because our own mothers were unverified there was really no way to be sure what the strain was. WE LIED TO EVERYONE.

Clone Queen took off. We received so much business it was ridiculous. There were periods when the phone would literally ring all day from patients calling. Our Weedmaps listings received hundreds of hits every day. I have to say this - Brendon is very smart. Probably the smartest person I've ever known. You have to be smart to do what he did. To start a business out of nothing and turn it into something huge in just a few months. HE IS SMART BUT HE ISN'T HONEST.
For awhile it was just the two of us. Taking care of the garden, verifying patients, taking orders and delivering. Yep that's right. If you ordered from Clone Queen in late 2010 to mid 2011 you mostly likely got your clones delivered by Brendon, and me. Clone Queen was his life, and mine too. It was all we did for months. Figuring out ways to get more mothers, more vendors and eventually more employees. We were never short on patients. We were turning down orders because we didn't have the clones to fill them. We'd have 200 hundred clones ready and could sell that in a day - two tops, easy. We started making hundreds of dollars on a daily basis, then thousands. I would like to say that I enjoyed it but that wouldn't be true. But I will get to that later.

Now we did produce some bad ass clones. Big, leafy, hardy clones with massive trails of white roots. But it was hit and miss. It was never consistent. And almost every time we used an outside vendor we got screwed. But even if every single clone we sold was beautiful and strong and produced a great yield it didn't matter.
EVERY PATIENT WAS STILL PAYING UPWARDS OF $7 (and as much as $15) FOR VERIFIED GENETICS WHICH NEVER EXISTED.
You were lucky if you even got the strain you ordered.

Almost as soon as Clone Queen took off the complaints came rolling in. Plants were dying, plants were males, plants weren't growing fast enough, plants didn't look like the strains we had said they were. Brendon had figured out a formula for making a lot of money and he got careless. He took short cuts. And the poor quality of the clones showed it. Eventually all the complaints got to be too much for the two of us to handle combined with all the work we were already doing. So we brought in a friend of mine Ryan, to help handle the online traffic and calls. And a friend of Brendon's named Joyce helped with the orders too. We gave them scripts to follow so when patients asked questions they would have the answers. Part of the job as well was creating fake accounts on weedmaps and other sites and posting positive reviews to counter the negative ones. If you spend any time online looking up Clone Queen online you will see patients saying that Clone Queen posts fake positive reviews. This is true. THE MAJORITY OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE. And while yes, some of the negative reviews are posted by competing vendors, or former employees - most of them are legitimate. Read them and believe them.

From the beginning Brendon always wanted a warranty. He wanted patients to be able to swap out plants that died or weren't growing and give them another shot. It was also another hook because no other dispensary or private vendor offered a 30 day guarantee. And we did exchange plants. Whether the plants died because they were unhealthy to begin with or were healthy and got killed by an inexperienced grower we swapped them out. People might say Clone Queen doesn't do that but for the 10 months I dated Brendon and the few months after that I helped out with patients we honored warranties. But still, we were swapping out plants that were not verified. And a lot of the time the plants we swapped were not the same strain as the original order.

I am not going to lie. The time I spent involved with Clone Queen was the MOST STRESSFUL time of my life. I hated it. I hated lying to patients. I met so many of them. Awesome, kind, funny, irie people who just wanted to grow their own medicine. And I smiled at them, smoked with them, took their money and KNEW I was ripping them off. And I hated it every single day. But I kept doing it. Eventually I broke up with Brendon and the stress I felt from Clone Queen was a big part of it. It changed me, I became someone I hated and I couldn't do it anymore. But eventually I started helping Brendon with Clone Queen again. He wanted me to take orders, schedule deliveries and deal with patients who had warranty issues. A big part of what I did also was writing fake positive reviews on Weedmaps, Budtrader, Cannabis Search, Leafly and other sites. Anytime a patient wrote a negative review either me, Brendon or another employee would immediately post 2-4 positive reviews. I spent a lot of time making fake Weedmaps accounts. I didn't want to be involved, I didn't want to have to deal with the stress but I couldn't say no to my friend. The amount of patients who complained about the quality if their clones is staggering. I would say more than half of all the patients I dealt with complained either about the service, or the plants they received. I think this was the part of the job I hated the most. Dealing with the angry patients who had been ripped off. It fucking sucked. It made me feel like shit - being a part of something that said they were honest, and there for the patients when really we just wanted their money. I'm so sorry. If I lied to you, if I ignored your emails or your calls because I knew you were upset or angry and I didn't want to deal with it, I'm sorry.

For a long time after I stopped working with Clone Queen and even after Brendon and I stopped talking I defended him. I told myself and others that he didn't mean to lie, he just did what he had to at the time. I wanted to believe the best in him but I can't anymore. I saw first hand as he failed to pay his employees, most of them were his friends, or mine. Or me. I was never paid for the work I did after we broke up. I lost my best friend after he and Brendon fought over money and work. I tried to justify everything Brendon did, even after he screwed me over too by running up a $2000 electric bill in my name after I moved out of the house we shared. Even after all the lies I still kept my mouth shut, only telling the truth about Clone Queen to my close friends.

Brendon, I know you are angry. You hate me right now. I don't care. I'm not doing this out of spite. This isn't petty revenge. If I wanted to I could have told this story to every prominent reviewer I know on Weedmaps, I could have called every patient and told them the truth. I could have bombarded you with bad reviews. For over a year I have continued to lie for you - telling people that Clone Queen Genetics is a good, honest dispensary run by a good man. I'm tired of lying. I'm tired of defending someone who doesn't care about anyone but himself. But most of all I am tired of seeing other people being lied to every day. People have a right to the truth.

I hope that this helps people who are on the fence about Clone Queen. I wrote this on blogger because I know if I were to post this on another site (especially weedmaps) it would either be removed immediately or covered up by positive reviews.

~Random Facts About CQ~

~There is no physical location for Clone Queen. Every address listed is a lie.
~The first "verified" clones came from vendors on Craigslist.
~Thcplant.com is run by Brendon Kennedy
~Despite his lucrative business, Brendon rarely pays for his weedmaps listings on time.
~Weedmaps listings would have you believe that Clone Queen has locations in San Diego, LA, Orange County, Victorville, Rancho Cucamonga etc. but the majority of clones are grown in one area. Patients then drive to a nearby location that is convenient to the delivery drivers.
~One trick employees are taught is to place the cuts with the best roots towards the outside of their trays and then encourage patients to examine those. Later the patient calls to complain about the cuts with little to no roots. Then they can wait two weeks for their warranty. Which is usually a different strain.
~Brendon Kennedy also goes by the names Evan, Jesse and I'm sure he's acquired more by now.
~All CQ employees use fake names. Mine was Lisa.
~Clone Queen employees spend hours driving around to local wi-fi spots to post fake ads that appear to be posted from different locations, by different people. I spent a lot of time at Starbucks and McDonalds.
~Almost all of the pictures associated with Clone Queen are just pictures found online. They are not of actually CQ plants, or finished product.
~Clone Queen is not a huge operation. They may move a lot of plants but there has always only been a handful of employees (most of them are constantly lied to).
~Clone Queen and disorganization go hand in hand. If you take the time to read the reviews online you will notice patients stating that they tried many times to contact CQ and could not. At times this may be because of the volume of calls and emails coming in but it's also because CQ employees are really bad at communicating and handling patients.
